How Tranquility Sound Got It's Name
In spring of 2024, my dear Dad entered hospice care.
It was an especially difficult day for the two of us, when a nurse took notice and brought us a white rose she had cut from the Tranquility Garden at the hospice.
“This is a Tranquility rose,” she said. “It is meant to offer peace and tranquility. When you are feeling low, look at it, smell it and allow it to lift your spirits.”
In that moment, this simple, yet kind and compassionate gesture was a huge source of comfort to both my Dad and myself. It had the power to offer solace, peace and rejuvenation. In the days that followed, I went back to that rose many times, and went to the garden to pick more roses for my Dads room. And every time the fragrance would lift my spirits and cultivate a peace and calm within me. This was exactly what I wanted to offer my clients, peace, comfort, tranquility, healing and respite. And so “Tranquility Sound Baths & More” was born.
This experience reminded me that it's okay to take moments of self-care. That we need to nurture our well-being in order to offer the best version of ourselves, especially to those we love and care for the most.
